Brief Indications For Clinical Use: Common cold, conjunctivitis, rhinitis, frozen shoulder, neuralgia.

This formula is made by adding Ephedra and Pueraria to Gui Zhi Tang. It eliminates muscular spasms by dilating the blood vessels and promoting blood circulation. It is also effective in including perspiration and as a diuretic.

The Ephedra in this formula induces perspiration and relieves asthma. This Cinnamomum expels the pathogenic factors from the muscles and promotes sweating to expel the exogenous pathogenic factor from the body surface. When Ephedra and Cinnamomum are used in combination, they can increase the volume of perspiration. Glycyrrhiza is sweet and mild and relaxes the internal organs. It also moderates excessive perspiration caused by Ephedra and Cinnamomum. Puraria can expel pathogenic factors from the muscles and eliminate fever. It is effective in treating diarrhea caused by hypofunction of the spleen and stomach. Therefore, this formula can be used to treat the common cold, keratitis, conjunctivitis, rhinitis, para sinusitis, frozen shoulder, neuralgia, urticadia and colitis. It is especially effective in treating neck and back pain resulting from a common cold.
